For this layout I used a combination of the Designer Tapes. I started by stacking the actual rolls next to each other until I came up with a combination of colors that I liked for my layout. I then applied them to my kraft card stock in that order. I tore them roughly at the ends cause I like that sort of "imperfect" look. I used the negative portion of the Punch Sienna Chipboard Alphabet sheet on top of the Designer Tapes to create a fun & unique base to my page.
Supplies:
Sophisticates: Chipboard Sienna Alpha - Punch & Pony, High Five Alphabets - Pink & Red, Blue
I love to use a good amount of embellishments when I add clusters to my design & the Birthday Boy collection has such a great variety to work with. I started with a piece from the Cute Cuts page and built on that using the Alpha + Bits & Just Write Stickers. I once again used the photo corner stickers as more of a design element to help draw the eye directly to the photo.
Supplies:
Birthday Boy: All For You, Borders, Eat Cake, Toadilly Cool, Cute Cuts, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Chipboard Sienna Alpha - Blueberry, Chipboard Icons
This whole blog designing thing is fun and a great creative change!
This time I helped my friend, Amy Coose. She is the sweetest with three adorable kiddos. Her littlest could seriously be the Gerber baby - for real!
When choosing Amy's design, I was originally thinking something with blue bonnets because I recalled this post on her blog about their family trip back home to Texas. But then I thought hmmm.... three kids what can I do with that?
Hello....triangles! {okay, I know weird thought process}
When I saw this month's theme, our trip to Sprinkles Cupcakes in Chicago came to mind right away! I used a combination of the new"On Trend" and "Acorn Avenue" papers to punch different sized circles and sprinkled them down the center of my page. I wanted the pink to pop as much as possible, so I used a larger perforated edged circle to punch from the On Trend "Haute" paper. This also mimicked their signage from the store front.
Head on over to the Crate blog for more sprinkle themed inspiration!
Birthday Girl: Miles of Smiles, Borders, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Chipboard Icons
Sophisticates: Chipboard Alphas Sienna - Punch, High Five Alphas - Pink & Red, Blue
Crochet Flowers: Poppy, Daises, Juniper, & Dahlia
Designer Tapes: Gulf Dot, Punch Chevron
For my She's Turning Two layout I used the dots side of the Miles of Smiles paper to punch out different colored circles to sprinkle along side of the Crochet Flowers to create a confetti look. I also cut the Punch Chevron Designer Tape along the angles to create an arrow look.

**Side note: Kim has lived in three different states and I know that she has gained family, friends, & tons of memories from each of her homes.
I wanted to incorporate that into her design.
I love the new large photo trend lately. I printed this cutie at 12x8 and began layering the Birthday Girl papers & embellishments around it. The upper right corner of my photo had some great "empty or white" space which lead to the perfect spot for my title work. I cut the bottom of one of the stickers from the Just Write sheet to create the "Cake" portion of my title.
Supplies:
Birthday Girl: Celebrate, Borders, Sugar Rush, Miles of Smiles, Cute Cuts, Just Write Journaling Stickers, Alpha + Bits Stickers, Chipboard Icons, Chipboard Sienna Alpha - Punch
What an awesome day on the CHA floor yesterday! I meant so many of my favorite scrappers. I do have to apologize to them. I get so dang nervous meeting new people so I either don't say anything & stare like a complete idiot or ramble like a mad women - so sorry for that.
Elle's Studio...LOVE...
{this was one of the booth where I'm pretty sure I rambled like a complete idiot. I was so excited/nervous that I hardly even said 2 words to Elle & didn't shut up to Jenni. Dang why am I so lame!}
The Crafter's Workshop: had SO much fun getting messy with Ronda Palazzari...
