Livestock Love :: On the Farm

Doesn't every little girl want livestock for their birthday?
Ella is turning 3 this Friday and she thinks she is pretty special with all "her" new critters.
We added some major cuteness to our barn over this last weekend.
Six bottle calfs and 30 baby chicks...

We bought these little guys from a local multi generation family farm & they were nice enough to give us a tour of their operation. What an amazing place!

Here are our new family members all together in their new home.

And here are their three new "mommys". We will be seeing lots of sunrises in the next few weeks!

Our chickens are finally starting to lay again since the days are getting longer.
They however are not too sure about sharing their barn with the new calves.

We placed our first order with McMurray hatchery and now have 30 new baby chicks.
I am so excited to watch these little hens grow!

I also got my seed order from Gurney's this past weekend and got them started and under lights in the basement.

And this is why I got zero scrapbooking done this weekend. LOL!
