::GIVEAWAY:: 30 days of gratitude :: starting at the base

I am taking baby steps towards the wonderful world of Project Life. The idea is one that I have been wanting to try for some time now, but I just never did because of the fear of not keeping up. I soon came to the realization that not keeping up isn't nearly as bad as not ever starting! All of those everyday memories need to find a place & this project will perfect.

I am beginning with the 30 days of Gratitude project & will then be moving onto December Daily. Again, baby steps to Project Life.

The album & pages I will be using for both the 30 days as well as the DD project is the Simple Stories 6x8 Snap Binder. I compiled some of my favorites: Crate Paper, Bella Blvd, Elle's Studio, Studio Calico, October Afternoon, American Crafts, & Jenni Bowlin....

My process is a bit backwards to what I normally do, but it is a fun challenge. When I design a page I usually find the photo first and then build around it. For this project I designed the pages first with a base of the above products. I do love the fact that I can just slip in my photos and add my journaling. It will definitely help me stay on track. I will be adding bits & pieces as I go as & will probably go back and do some last minute sewing as well. That is what is so much fun. There are no right or wrongs. Just stay focused on recording your memories.

The below images show what I have created as a very basic base. I have also added in little notes of events that I would like to focus on that day. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks as I fill my pages!

The American Crafts Roller Stamps are some of my favorites & are just perfect for a project like this.
Leave me a comment below & let me know if you are doing 30 Days of Gratitude, December Daily, or Project Life.
Share a link to your work too if you'd like! I'd love to see!

Winner will be drawn Friday November 9th.

I am going to try PL forthe first time in January and am playing with the idea of doing a DD this year. I am a bit overwhelmed by the thought of pulling together my own kit though.

i've been toying around with the idea of doing a december daily. however, i've just recently bought a cameo & am taking the SC cameo class- i've been working away on layouts like a mad woman & have an absolute blast!

This is awesome! And don't pick me for a winner because I already have this stamp :) Are you still plannning on doing December Daily?

I tried PL back when Becky Higgins had that very first sell out kit... I made it though February. :)
I love the idea-but I think having a reason that month is a great start-but I still would never scrap it daily, and be doing catch up! You go girl!
I am more apt to think in "project month" where I scrap at the end of the month the highlights!

I posted about those albums, because I love the size and color. Did you get them locally?

I too have been toying with the idea, but I am afraid to do it. Afraid that I will not make it through and then just be frustrated that I 1) spent money 2) wasted time 3) didn't follow through....that's what keeps me on the fence for any of these projects that involves daily commitment. Sigh.

I started Project Life just this year, and I love that it helps me document the big and little moments of my family's life. I'll be doing DD for the second time this year. I hope to prepare my base pages ahead of time this year. And, I'm also doing 30 Days of Gratitude foe the first time this year. I LOVE that each of these projects reminds me to pay attention to our daily lives!

I am doing PL this year & have managed to stay up-to-date (believe it or not)! I am planning to do December Daily for the first time. I hope to get my pages ready ahead of time so I'll be able to keep up during the busy month of December.

I am doing PL and I am not "keeping up" weekly at all. But I am doing what I can each month and I love it even if its not the traditional 52 weeks. Some is better than none, right ;)

No I am not doing any of these--I wish I had the time but my life gets in the way.

I am doing the same thing. A bit different since i am keeping a journal and doing layouts of the pics when i have time. Your kit looks fun. Not sure when I'll move to the PL format. Just trying a routine for now.
