When I first saw the inspiration piece this month I knew right away that I wanted to do a vertical title. I love to play with my title work and this was a great excuse! I continued with the vertical design by using strips of paper to mimic the books shown in the original piece. I finished it off with just a few horizontal pieces to balance it all out and to keep the eye flowing.

{christmas wish list...

I thought it would be fun to create a layout about what is on my kids' wish list this year. It will be interesting to look back and see all the popular "wishes". I'm sure they will have lots to add to this list the closer we get to the 25th of Dec.

The Oxford collection is one of my favorites. I love the mix of plaids and rich colors. I thought it would be perfect for a fall themed layout as well, so what better way to show that than diecut leaves. So simple, yet such an effective design.

{Operation Write Home}

{if only for a split second...

The bright and fun colors of the Spring Flings & Easter Things collection are right up my alley. This is one of my favorite photos of my oldest & youngest and I knew the colors in this collection would be perfect. I love that this line can be used for so much more than just Easter. I grabbed the Chipboard Essentials from the Sophistics collection and layered them with stickers from the Alpha + bit sheet for a touch of dimension.

{my kind of XC race...

My friend Ginger & I did a race today that was 4+ miles through timber and creeks. We had SO much fun! Definately on my 2do list for next year!























{The duct tape is to help keep our shoes on our feet while we're running through all the mud. Thank goodness Ginger knew to do that!}



and it only took us just over 2 hours...



And here's a little something to laugh at...the water was up to our waists and SUPER cold!
