What comes to mind when you think summer? For me, it's not always the typical things like waterparks and sprinklers. It's the simple feeling of running barefoot through the soft grass. No worries. No time restrictions. Just the fun of being a kid and enjoying the world.
I recently captured a few photos of my daughter, Ella as she was playing barefoot in our front yard. I just love how her hair is blowing in the breeze and she was loving every bit of it.
To keep with the soft & subtle colors of her outfit, I chose to use the Spring In Bloom line by Donna Salazar Designs for GCD Studios. Perfect for my photo!
I wanted to keep the design simple and knew that I wanted to use butterflies on it some where. By layering two Martha Stewart punches {one negative image & one postive image}, it created a fun embellishment and focal point.
Pull two of your favorite punches out today and give this easy layering technique a try!

Absolutely gorgeous! The photo and the page :-)
The photos of your daughter are stunning! I love that you kept the design of your layout simple, so that the beautiful photo takes center stage. I also love the punched out butterfly design with the smaller die cut version placed and sewn within it...it looks fabulous!
