{a summer spent shore side...

When I think summer, it's not just sunshine & sprinklers that come to mind...it's worms & stink bait. Ha! I am the mom of two boys and a little girly who will soon become a second generation {tomboy}. Yep, we're an outdoor kinda family. So, when our June theme came up as "summer", I knew The Great Outdoors line would be my first choice to work with.



Every element in this line was perfect for this fishing picture of my boys...

{water rocket...

{race for the cure...

I participated in the Race for the Cure last Saturday along side someone very special to me. She is a mom, daughter, cousin, niece, and one of my heros.
She had breast cancer and kicked it's ass! Way to go Sherry Sue!





This was my second 5k since I started running about 4 weeks ago. Although I didn't run the entire thing, I ran further than I have so far. Thank you to this girl for always inspiring me...

{water rocket...

Happy Friday everyone!
Summer is in full force here at our house and the boys are loving it! Baseball games, water fights, popcicles, anything outdoors, they're doing it!

A few summers back, Aaron & the boys created a Water Rocket that consists of a pop bottle, some PVC piping and powered by an air compressor. They have a ball with it and get soaking wet!
This was the perfect event to scrapbook with the Rocket Age line from October Afternoon! So...here is a sneak of the layout that's up on the blog today...

To me, journaling is always one of the most important parts of a layout. I always to try include it on my page no matter what. It's the who, what, when, & where that people are going to want to remember forever. So make sure you get those things down!
For this layout, I did "hidden" journaling by creating a small tag and inserted it in one of the {Popcorn journaling pockets} from the Fun House line.
The perfect way keep your journaling a bit more personal.
