Amazing Grace :: Digging into my stash

One of my goals for this year's Project Life album was to use what I already have in my stash. One of the main things I have had for so long and just plain and simple didn't want to use up was my Sassafras goodies. I just didn't want to use them and someday run out! Then, I realized how silly that was. Use them in my books and I will have them forever! Duh!

This page about our beautiful morning sunrise uses Sassafras, Crate Paper, October Afternoon, Studio Calico mist and a few cut files from my Silhouette.

Do you find yourself "hoarding" your favorites?

Capture Life :: Elle's Studio

Monday brought another Capture Life post over on the Elle's Studio blog and I'm sharing the idea of my March "Shoot and Share" plus a peek into how I preserve those stories in my Project Life album!

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.13.14

My share today is this mornings sunrise. I know I just posted a sunrise photo the other day, but I couldn't resist this one either!

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.12.14

My share today is our after school snack : fruit smoothies!
Note: I saw the idea on Pinterest. I freeze the yogurt ahead of time in muffin tins so I can then add it to my baggie of fruit & simply dump it in the blender and add skim milk. So easy!}

My share today is our not so little any more Coe Waylon. He needed a headshot for a pretty cool gig he's got coming up so after school we ran outside for a quick session. He is 11 going on 17 and I'm not so sure I'm really ready for all of that. But despite his orneriness towards his brother he is an amazing kid!

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.10.14

My share today is this mornings' sunrise because I don't know about you all, but the time change is still kickin my booty this morning. I am however lovely that it means we are yet again one step closer to Spring and it brought beautiful weather with it!

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.9.14

My share today is US. We spent the afternoon hiking through the snow in our timber. It was a great place to explore and be out of the wind a bit.

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.8.14

My share today is Ralph the Rooster! He's the king of the yard and struts around like he knows it. He's an Americana and my favorite rooster we've had so far. Little does he know, he'll have 25 more chicks to look after when they arrive in a few weeks.

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.7.14

My share today is FRESH AIR! It was finally nice enough to get outside and take the kids for a ride on the Ranger. Spring is coming I know it!

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.6.14

My share today is my Kitchen Aid Mixer. It's still very much my favorite gift from our wedding. It's made many batches of cookies, breads, and of course the occasional grinding of deer meat.
I love the memories that have been made surrounding this gadget. Most importantly, it's been an essential tool in letting our youngest son explore his love for cooking & baking.

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.5.14

My share today is what I'm currently reading. Yes, that's right I'm ready books that are at a 10 year old level and I'm loving it. These are my actual books that I got when I was that age. Many of them have my scribbly 10 year old handwriting in them and one says "To Megan Christmas 1990" in my mom's. Honestly I'm loving being able to re-read them and understand them a bit more than back then. LOL!
It takes me back to the time I got to go to the a "pioneer class" with a friend at a stone house. If I remember right we got to make apple butter that day. I remember thinking that it was the coolest thing ever.
And, I'm currently on the "The Long Winter" book which is pretty much appropriate for today.

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.4.14

My share today is my once again sick little Bean at the doctors office. She just can't kick the fever. She was good yesterday am and then ended up with a 103.2 fever again through the night last night. She tested no for strep and no ear infections but we had to go for lab work. She hasn't had to do that before and was convinced they were going to "cut off her hands to get the blood out". LOL! Poor baby. She did great and still has both hands.
Waiting on lab results so hopefully we can kick this bug in the butt!

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.3.14

My share today is my breakfast. Marbled Rye, peanut butter, and black raspberry jam from last years pickins. It reminds me of warm afternoons picking black raspberries, black berries, and mulberries with my little berry monster.

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.2.14

My share today is where I create. Aaron refinished this drafting table for me when we were dating and I was going to college. It's where I get to work & create for some amazing scrapbooking companies and where I document our lives and all the thousands of photos I bug you all with.

Shoot & Share : A Daily Challenge :: 3.1.14

Who's up for a quick challenge?
I'm itching to get back to shooting a bit more so I thought I would shoot and share one photo each day during the month of March.
Just shoot with whatever camera you have handy. It's about capturing something from your everyday. It can be what you had for supper, something you celebrated, or just a photo that shows what the weather was like that day.

My share today is our old barn. The flurries were flying but the first thing that comes to mind when I look at this photo is how I hope my rhubarb that I planted in front of it comes up this Spring.

So who's game?
