When I began blogging back in July of 2008, I was selling for Stampin Up!, I was an avid card maker {shocker, right?}, I was a mom of 2, I scrapbooked "in order", I was just beginning to do 12x12 pages, wow how times have changed. I'm still in love with scrapbooking, the stories I've told, & the art I've created.

Soon...I'll be giving away lots of goodies from places like GCD Studios, Imaginisce, Shabby Chic Crafts, Sassafras, My Minds Eye, & whatever else I can scoop up out of my goodie stash.

I've enjoyed playing a bit more with my chipart tool from gcd studios this month.

Here is a quick little embellishment I created using the tool, a chipboard heart, the sparrow lowercase alphabet stamps & a bit of paint.

{the c2e is for my kiddos names...coe, chase, & ella}

I used the Smoothie Shop collection for this month's layout.

The subtle colors were perfect.

This months challenge over at gcd studios was to create jewelry using the fab chipboard tools.

I wanted to create something that would be easy for anyone to recreate. I hope you enjoy this simple little necklace I created.

Start with a ribbon your your choice. I picked this one up at my LSS. Just weave your needle in & out along the bottom & pull tight once your all the way across. Finish off with a few stitches in the center & some liquid glue to hold any loose ends.

It should look something like this...

Next, using liquid glue {or a hot glue gun} I added this chipboard piece from the Chipboard Ladies embellishments set...



I then added a vintage button & trimmed a piece of chipboard to fit inside of it. I used the chipboard tool with the Sparrow Lowercase Alphabet Stamps to personalize it with an "m".



Top it off with a bit of pink craft paint & glossy accents...



And there you have it, a super quick & easy necklace! Enjoy!

the Hearts Ornamental Stamps, the Hearts Chipboard Shapes, {love} from Word Strips - Homespun Chic, a bit of this lovely paper...Sunny Brocade - Flocked - Lydia , and topped off with some paint & glossy accents. So fun!
