Trick Or Treat :: Steal their candy before they eat it all!

 

Don't forget to steal their candy as soon as they fall asleep tomorrow night!

 

Well maybe not all of it, but at least all those snack sized Snicker bars!

They don't need all of it anyways, right? ;)

I stuck all I could snag from my boys' stash into the freezer as soon as they fell asleep.
(They totally accused me of eating it all the next morning.)

Tonight we made :: Snicker Apple Salad :: so I thought I'd share the super easy recipe.

1 (16 oz) container of Cool Whip (thawed)

1 (3.5 oz) box French Vanilla Instant Pudding

4 large apples

Snickers mini candy bars (I had about 7)

1. Peel & chop the apples

 2. Chop candy bars

 3. Mix Cool Whip & Pudding (dry mix) together.

4. Fold in the apples & Snickers (I reserved a few of the candy bar chunks to add on top.)

5. Refrigerate until serving. 

6. Garnish with the cute tags from the Elle's Studio Oct Tag kit! :)

Esprit Scrapbooking :: French Magazine October Coup de coeur

I was so honored when Beatrice from the French Magazine Esprit Scrapbooking contacted me about being the Coup de coeur for October!

 The best definition of Coup de coeur I could find was this:

English Translation:
Loving something impulsively
To buy something just because you love it at first sight
To fall for somebody or something 

 

 I really wish I was cool enough to read the article written in French, but it's still pretty awesome to me! :)

Apple Orchard :: My Everyday Life

The kids are on Fall break and I'm swamped in photography sessions (that's a GOOD thing!) but I had one day with nothing so we took a day trip to a u-pick apple orchard and then we stayed at a hotel with a fun water slide. It was simple and fun & the perfect day away from it all. 

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful fall season!

Just as everyone warns us: our little ones grow all too quickly. A few weeks ago, I took our youngest to her first day of Preschool. After signing in, they handed her a notebook and asked her to sign her name. I thought, "Wow, epic fail." I hadn't prepared her as I should have. Well, although the first few days were just squiggles on the paper; now a week later, she keeps getting better and better! I'm so proud of her and I wanted to document that in her album. The technique I used was simple. I asked Ella to write her name on a manilla tag using a white crayon. I then used a few different colors of mist to "reveal" her letters. The wax of the crayons acts as a resist to the mist; creating a unique way to highlight such a special accomplishment.
