I've had these photos since last year, but just hadn't found the right way to scrapbook them. That was until I got word that Shelley of A Flair for Buttons was creating HUNTING Flair!!!
Thank you Shelley for creating something so unique & perfect!

Good luck to all the "Boys in Blaze" this weekend as Illinois heads into it's 2nd weekend of gun season. Stay safe!

Scrapbooking Supplies :: A gift

My niece who just celebrated her 11th birthday had "art supplies" on her wish list. I quickly volunteered to be in charge of that one. Hee! I went out looking for something fun, but only came up with lots of Crayola kits that I thought were just too youngish. {Yep that's a word...sort of.} So, I found this adorable journal at Target and decided I would build her a gift from my stash.
She was SO excited about all the new goodies.

Flair from - A Flair for Buttons, Designer Tape from Bella Blvd, Cuts from my Silhouette, Glitter Clips from Crate Paper, tags from Elle's Studio, and some very cherish Sassafrass stash.

{Regifting? Well, not really. I call it being resourceful & sharing the love of paper & crafting.}

Her older sister requested an iTunes card so I made her a cute card to hold just that.

Happy Monday Ya'all!

Advent Calendar :: Silhouette + Bella Blvd

Count down to Christmas with the Silhouette advent calendar. This limited edition advent calendar kit comes with a full set of shapes that can be arranged any way you like. Use your Silhouette and your favorite paper to customize the calendar in your own style. With different decorations, the advent calendar can be used for any occasion.

Silhouette was generous enough to send one of their new Advent Calendars to me, so that we could pair it up with Bella's products. I'm excited to share my finished project with you today.

I just wanted to add how awesome this frame is! It is huge & such nice quality. My hubby laughed at me when I kept repeating how nice it was. I'm excited to use this year round!

I received the frame yesterday around 2:00 during Ella's nap time. I pulled out 2 of my favorite Bella lines: Winter Wonder & Christmas Wishes, a mix of the wonderful Designer Tapes as well as the Sophisticates High Five Alphabets. By 5:00 I was completely done and cleaned up. The fact that my Silhouette did so much of the work was just awesome. I am hoping to use this for birthdays, chore charts, instagram photos, etc. It's versatile & definitely something I won't be packing away after the holidays!

This is our first ever Advent Calendar & the boys are so excited to get started. Instead of little gifts, each pocket holds a to-do for that day. Something simple but something we can do together to celebrate the season.

Wisc. Dells :: Bella Blvd

This SKETCH was perfect for our trip to Wisc Dells last weekend. The Cute Cuts journaling card from the Thankful line worked great with the 1-10 list as the sketch had 10 image spaces. I also kept one of our wrist bands and incorporated that into the design. I love incorporating personal items to my pages whenever I get the chance.
Supplies:
Kiss Me: Mustache Love; Thankful: Borders, Turkey Tracks, Burlap, Alpha+Bits Stickers, Cute Cuts; Birthday Boy: Borders; Sophisticates: Petite Pieces, Calendars; Ciao Chip Elements: Stars & Hearts; High Five Alphabet Stickers: Gulf; Button Market: Orange Stars; Designer Tapes: Gulf Dot

30 Days of Gratitude :: Embellishing

I am loving this process & the fact that I can focus mainly on my journaling.

Here are the completed pages that I shared last week
On the left side I used a camera cut from my Silhouette as a mask with the Studio Calico's Clay Mr Huey as my base. I layered bits from Crate Paper's Acorn Ave, Flair from A Flair for Buttons, & washi tape from Freckled Fawn. {Thank you for the share Jen Chapin!}
The right side was of course Election Day. The "Vote" cut was a fun share from Kinsey Wilson.

Grocery shopping is not something I enjoy, but I am thankful to be able to afford what we need. This page uses a Silhouette cut I created based on this printable I found on Pinterest
The right side might possibly my most charished page ever. Aaron knows I love scrapbooking, yet he doesn't understand why. LOL! For this page I asked him if he would journaling about why he was thankful for me & I did the same. We sat in our living room after the kids went to bed & each wrote down our thoughts. We laughed as he asked me how to spell every other word & how he didn't think it was fair that my handwriting is much bigger so I didn't have to write as much. Ha! I am Thankful for him & Thankful for that moment. **The journaling cards are from Elle's Studio.

The Crop Friends side uses again a mixture of Crate Paper & Elle's Studio. Plus some of my new favorite Thickers & flair from A Flair for Buttons. The right side shows my thankfulness of my son's love for helping in the kitchen. I just love the fact that he has found something that is "him". Lots of Instagram photos this week. I need to get better about getting my "big" camera out again.

Love the Flair? Me too! Go get it HERE!
