{book bag night...

I can't believe the boys' summer is already over. It's back to school on Monday! Tonight was book bag night at school, so we captured a few pics before hand. {I took my camera to the school, but the boys insisted on no pictures. Ugh!}
The amazing Maggie Holmes inspired me over on the Studio Calico blog with her post about instagram pictures with her iphone.
Well, anyone who knows me knows I am NOT a "techie" when it comes to my phone. Needless to say, I still have to pull the antenna up to talk on my phone.
So, I created my own in photoshop! I found this on the web...

and created these...

Anyone else liven in the stone age when it comes to your cell phone? :0)

{run barefoot...

What comes to mind when you think summer? For me, it's not always the typical things like waterparks and sprinklers. It's the simple feeling of running barefoot through the soft grass. No worries. No time restrictions. Just the fun of being a kid and enjoying the world.
I recently captured a few photos of my daughter, Ella as she was playing barefoot in our front yard. I just love how her hair is blowing in the breeze and she was loving every bit of it.

To keep with the soft & subtle colors of her outfit, I chose to use the Spring In Bloom line by Donna Salazar Designs for GCD Studios. Perfect for my photo!

I wanted to keep the design simple and knew that I wanted to use butterflies on it some where. By layering two Martha Stewart punches {one negative image & one postive image}, it created a fun embellishment and focal point.

Pull two of your favorite punches out today and give this easy layering technique a try!

{stickin some paper with glue...

...finally, I created a few things today! Summer has been none stop. The boys go back to school August 1st, which seems entirely too soon, but I am looking forward to getting back to our normal schedule. Here's a sneak of a little something I worked on for GCD Studios...

Hope you're enjoying the rest of your summer!

{I'm a Paper Girl...

A while back, Amy Coon from The Paper Life contacted me about becoming a PaperGirl. I was honored and of course said yes!
She's had a wonderful new adventure in the works for months now...and today is lauch day! It's all about hybrid scrapbooking called Paperlife Printables.

I love the idea of being able to print out just what I want when I want it!

The Just Beachy line happens to be my favorite right now since I have lots of beach pictures...the colors are wonderful!

{the shell on the above layout...totally printed on cardstock and popped up with right?}

And the chevron in this trendy and fun!

Head on over to the brand new website to check out all the details!
